Dr. Jeff Smith, DSci, PT, OCS
Dr. Jeff Smith is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialist who has been dedicated to keeping people active and fit since 1989. Upon graduating from the University of Toledo with degrees in Human Performance and Athletic Training, he worked with various high school, collegiate, and professional teams while completing graduate studies in Biomechanics at Georgia State University. He obtained a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from North Georgia College in 1996. He returned to pursue an advanced post-graduate degree a decade later, obtaining a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy while graduating with Highest Honors from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Dr. Smith has committed himself to pursing the highest levels of advanced training within the fields of Physical Therapy and human performance. He has been an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist since 2006, and has been credentialed as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a CrossFit Level 1 trainer, certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Functional Movement Screen (FMS), certified as a Movement and Mobility Specialist by The Ready State, Level 1 & 2 Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC), and certified in Dry Needling from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapies.
Dr. Smith and his wife enjoy hiking the beautiful trails of North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia after moving to Granite Falls in early 2023. The are blessed with two wonderful daughters who are busy with college. In his spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys working on various construction projects around the house, reading, and assisting his wife with her gardening passions.
